The Great Escape

Rue Madeleine 18, 1003 Lausanne, Switzerland

The British pub that revolutionized Lausanne nightlife.

A super nice decor by Caroline Lebet, where  the beer flows in abundance, the music is “on point” and where the vibes is super chill.

The young (freshly hired) chef Xavier Watrelot has been revolutionizing the menu. When you’re hungry, you can eat their famous burgers. But recently the young chef has created a complete menu for Sunday brunch and a smaller menu for the rest of the week. Excellent dishes in the form of small plates to share for example.

The pulled pork roll is a killer. Pork smoked for almost 18 hours! Zucchini spaghetti with coconut milk, venison carpaccio with mushrooms and parmesan cheese or even fried calamari with lime. Exquisite cuisine for a Lausanne pub, we say “oui monsieur”.

PLAN B: For sunny days or nice evenings, they have the most popular terrace in town.
