A restaurant, which puts nature first, located in the lower town of Bern (covered with pretty cobblestones filled with the history of the capital). The establishment changes its menu every two months: meat, fish or vegetarian version, entitled “Carte Blanche”. You have to be ready to be surprised by this young team that creates gastronomic magic. Inspired by the seasons, they use local products and even harvests all kinds of wild herbs in the region to create their dishes.
For this month of October, you will find foods such as corn, squash, apples, red cabbage, mushrooms, Jerusalem artichokes and deer.
The menu is available in 4 or 5 courses (from 87.-) and with a cheese plate option as well.
On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, you also have the possibility to eat à la carte. The wine list is also organic and ethical. We would have liked a slightly larger selection of Swiss wines.
We spent a superb evening in a warm and unfussy atmosphere. And to top it all the staff was super friendly !
PLAN B: if it is not in your budget or if you are only passing through at the beginning of the afternoon, they have a Take Out stand starting at noon from Friday to Sunday on the Munster platform (located as well in lower part of the city).
