The ocean, the sound of the waves, the seagulls flying and the sun are all there on the Malibu Pier. There is a restaurant in which it is good to spend a moment with friends on the pier, the terrace or indoor. Everything is in white tones, recycled wood and plants everywhere with the Pacific Ocean in the background.
Helene Henderson began by teaching cooking classes at her home with ingredients from her garden. Then she was able to open a restaurant and create a Californian food oriented menu, cooked with local, mostly organic and carefully chosen ingredients.
We recommend the trio of tacos (steak-squash-chicken), the Caesar salad with kale, the blue corn nachos or the cod and coconut ceviche.
PLAN B: If you don’t plan to go to Malibu, we have two options: you can go to their sister restaurants in New York, Miami or Hawaii or get their cookbooks which are real good. We did try many of their recipes!
