A pop-up roadhouse in the Broye region. The Great Escape and the women collective Les Filles du Lido joined forces to create this extraordinary new place. Imagine a place worthy of Zurich, London or New York but in Moudon !
This former biker bar located on the side of the Berne road in Moudon, has undergone a little hipster facelift and we are in love with it.
Macadam is a small village made up of containers converted into thrift store, flea market, bar, coffee shop and a bike workshop.
In the middle of the yard: garden furniture to relax on, a giant swan, glitter and a very Instagrammable boat… and also a ping-pong table and cornhole.
At the bar you will find alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks, a counter window where you can buy some local and homemade products: Pénélope’s terrine, Sue’s cookies, granola and peanut rayu made by Street Kitchen, excellent macaroons baked by Diane or even homemade pies.
There is also an “art box” where artists whom are friends of the collective exhibit their works.
In the backyard there is an outdoor kitchen. The menu created by Julie and the chefs of The Lacustre transports us to a trendy spot out of Brooklyn.
On the menu: delicious pizzas, BBQ mix, veggie or half-chicken, smash burgers as well as only on Saturday and Sunday lunchtime röstis, eggs and bacon or pizza pockets, a real killer!
You will enjoy quality and local ingredients and a truly excellent cuisine.
PLAN B: be careful for now, this pop-up roadhouse is only open for 6 weeks…
