New York

Don Angie

103 Greenwich Ave, New York, NY 10014

Head to the West Village for a real New York experience. Italian-American cuisine is at its best in this small restaurant that got a Michelin star.

Angie Rito and Scott Tacinelli, the couple behind this New York hot spot, have reinvented classic Italian recipes. We had to try the rolled lasagna that everyone is talking about … and it’s pretty delicious. Big portions ideal for sharing. The garlic bread is a killer. The chrysanthemum salad with its excellent sauce and its cloud of grated parmesan, also a killer. And we do not even speak about the pasta of the day that we got to eat.

As for the drinks, we had a Negroni and a Nonna’s Little Nip (grapefruit, Campari and Prosecco). Both were excellent.

All this in a cozy and luxurious atmosphere, half New York-speakeasy, half trattoria located on the Amalfi coast. The perfect place for a date, for a family dinner, a meal with friends or with work colleagues.

PLAN B: Try to recreate these incredible recipes at home by getting the cookbook.
